IVA Mentor Instructors

  • Wendy Tan

I really enjoyed seeing everyone, albeit virtually. Because teaching voice can be a fairly isolating experience, you are usually alone with your students, and it is nice to be with a community surrounded by people who understand what your work-life/passion is like.

Erin Wilson, USA

How is IVACON different from other voice conferences?

  • IVACON is entering its eighth year, enhancing our classes, programs, and events with each passing year as we grow, improve, and adopt what our participants ask for.

  • This event is jam-packed with a combination of information and theory-led sessions, as well as practical hands-on training experiences. Talking about stuff is helpful, but really getting in there, trying it out and testing what you’ve learned makes all the difference.

  • Add in opportunities to observe and ask questions, and IVACON makes for a highly informative and productive learning experience.

  • What’s more, our directors and administrators have been running these conferences and similar events for 15+ years and really know how to make sure you get the most from the event.

We don’t just talk about what to do—we show you how you can do it! Take a look beyond grey theory and be guided through practical application. Learn step-by-step how to make a difference in your students’ voices immediately!

    Charlene Adams

    IVA Ambassador

I love what I do and it makes me so happy to be able to share my passion with others.

As a performer I was looking for ways to improve my craft. I tried different teachers and techniques over the years but still struggled with inconsistencies in my singing and performance. I just never felt like I could really trust my voice.

In 2005 I found a voice teacher who taught a technique that changed and improved my voice in a way I never thought possible. I finally had the right tools to give my voice consistency and my performances greater confidence.

With a love for teaching, I joined the Speech Level Singing Teacher Certification Program. After certifying to a Level 3 Instructor, I moved to The Institute for Vocal Advancement to continue my education and certified to a Level 5 Mentor Instructor.

Now I am privileged to help so many students discover their natural abilities and reach results they never dreamed were possible.
